Recently, our company successfully shipped an RCZ452T integrated DTH drilling rig to a customer in South America. The customer operates in open-pit mining and was seeking a drilling solution that could reduce fuel consumption, enhance drilling speed, and minimize downtime resulting from frequent rod replacements and equipment maintenance.
The RCZ452T meets these requirements with its automatic rod-changing system and single-engine design, which powers both the screw air compressor and the hydraulic system. This integration not only lowers fuel consumption by about 35% compared to traditional split-type rigs, but also cuts maintenance costs nearly in half.
With a drilling depth of up to 21 meters and a diameter range of 90–138 mm, the machine is capable of handling various rock formations, from soft to hard. Its high-pressure air system improves slag removal and drilling speed, while the crawler leveling device enhances safety during slope operations.
